New! Newsletter

November 11th, 2012 by LymeWorks

Lymeworks first newsletter, Tick-Borne Disease Today, was written to be downloaded, printed and shared with medical practitioners.  Click Here (PDF File) to read or download the first issue of TBDT.

Printing Instructions: The 12-pages of TBDT can be printed on 8 1/2″ by 11″ paper and stapled in the corner; however, the newsletter was meant to be a booklet, bringing practitioners up to speed on the most common of tick-borne diseases. To make a booklet, the PDF file can be printed on legal-sized paper, 8 1/2″ x 14,” or, preferably printed on 11″ x 17″ paper, sometimes referred to as “tabloid.”

If the larger format is used, the booklet is then stapled in the middle, something your print shop can do. Twenty-eight pound paper works well for this publication, and should be considered; also, if you’re planning to mail the booklet, half the back page was left blank for addressing. The Post Office asks that you place the fold at the bottom of the booklet, which means you’ll have to put the addresses on the paper in what will seem to be “upside down.”

To all who’ve taken time to email praise for lymeworks.com, thank you for your encouragement. For seasoned tick-borne disease veterans much of what is written here is not surprising, being the simple reiteration of facts surrounding the illnesses and the discrimination in medicine faced by these patients and their physicians. Educating the lay public and medical professionals is the lofty goal of lymeworks articles, so feel free to link the site, download the information, print and share! We regret being unable to answer individual emails; rest assured though, they are all read, considered and appreciated!
